Just a new photo of Riley, since we’ve blocked off him off in the kitchen when we’re not home, he’s done less damage, so rather then just posting what he’s done wrong I’ve decided to post the adorable photos I take of him!

Not FDA approved.

Since being locked in the kitchen now, Riley believes he can cook and is bound to prove it. I would suggest not eating anything he might offer you despite anything he says. I’m also led to believe that after peeing on that box he did NOT wash his hands, yet another example of why you shouldn’t eat anything he cooks. I hope he’s not cooking on Thanksgiving.

Behind Bars.
He had to know it was coming. The kids have been locked in the kitchen, this is him in the living room where they’re allowed to be when we’re home. Riley seems to get the idea, so I have to imagine that someone who owned him prior to me tried this with him before, however his sister Sadie, isn’t quite keen to the idea yet. So far this seems to be working, keeping my fingers crossed.

Who’s there?

Like I’ve mentioned, Riley does not like to be left alone. He’s one silly little guy.

Ripley doesn’t believe in the arms on couches or loveseats, I’m not quite sure but I’m starting to believe that in this lifetime or another the arms on furniture may have done something to him, it’s what I have to believe because he simply does not want them apart of our lives.

One happy, scrappy dude. Riley loves to smile.

I’ve made this specific blog to post pictures and stories of Riley. Riley is my first dog, I saved him almost two years ago from humane society, that crazy face and scrappy hair made me laugh instantly. Within 24 hours, Riley began his campaign “No one I know should have nice stuff if they’re going to leave me alone.” This is a battle he’s continued to fight since the day I got him. Normally I spend all my time telling all his stories when it occurred to me that if I document them, more people are likely to believe me.
Riley is about 4 years old as far as we know, he is a Jack Russell, Gray Hound, Chihuahua, Lab mix. His two favorite things in life are people and being pet. Riley would like to fight every dog he comes across when he’s on his leash, when he’s not on his leash he wants all other dogs to chase him. (he usually wins.) Riley would do anything to please a human, you can do anything to him, he’s never shown a temper to a single person, he has a short temper however, when it comes to certain dogs. Sadly Riley hates being left alone, he has taken most of that hate out on my book collection, the arm of my loveseat (r.i.p.), magazines, cords, boots, garbage bags, blankets, dishes, leashes, remotes, and an entire CD collection, DVDs, he even once ate a pop can. Most people tell me to kennel him which sounds better in theory, Riley has broken out of a metal kennel that was once used for a rottweiler, he wants nothing to do with a kennel.
Some might wonder why I keep this guy around and if you spent one hour cuddling with him, you’d know exactly why he’s with me until death do us part, I’ve learned to lock everything valuable behind closed doors, one look at my kitchen and living room and you might think I a minimalist, and because of Riley, I am. His ridiculous antics haven’t seem to let up which will keep this blog in business. So I hope you enjoy the photos and the stories, feel free to post questions and comments, I’m always up for advice or suggestions, Riley looks forward to hearing them as well!
